Why all the padding?

Has anyone ever noticed that no one just walks from room to room in UF\PNR? Everyone has to pad into the room. Its always “Jackson padded back into the room”, or “Nicole padded over to the door.” Is padding somehow sexier than walking? What about sauntering? Too slutty? Or traipsing? Isn’t that what you would want to do during the post-coital glow, traipse to the bathroom? I understand that lumbering and hoofing it aren’t really things that sexy people do, and since there are no un-sexy people in UF\PNR it makes sense to not partake in these activities. But why padding? Am I doing something wrong? Should I be padding to my office each morning? Are my co-workers secretly wishing I would step my sexy game up and start padding around? Just wondering.

I’ve noticed that everyone showers until the water runs cold too.
